In 2009, I married Blanca and Tom's oldest son Jaime Arthuro. Blanca's family - the Torres family - is huge. Learning everyone's names and how they were all related to each other was a topic of study for me as I approached the wedding. Tom helped me relax and embrace the vast new array of cousins with grace, even if I did not know all their names right away. He was not hung up on details, and he taught me that family is family - even if you're not sure how you're related. The Thanksgiving before Jaime and I got married, we counted more than 110 people present for the meal and prayer. Thanks, Tom, for being a fellow in-law helping me take it in stride and pace myself.
